One apple
describes a closed book and the other is consciously sliced
open as happens when a book is opened. The wooden pips signify
the seeds of new knowledge and learning. I
wanted to create a design that was meaningful and could
be useful as well as aesthetic. It was satisfying
to achieve the spherical shapes and smooth finish as naturally
my style tends towards texture. In addition, I really enjoyed
incorporating different materials and have a strong urge
to continue this in future work.
